For our client, an international company with a focus on market data and their analysis, we are currently looking for Data Analyst to join its pan-European team of IT and cloud services market research specialists. The successful candidate is required to have data analysis/market research experience and be a fluent English speaker. Working knowledge of the IT sector is an advantage.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities 

• Data and market analysis: This includes various tasks, e.g. collecting and consolidating inputs from individual country analysts, data and trend analysis, quality control for various IT services categories.
• Source data and execute processing for data-based consulting projects and ad-hoc data assignments related to ITS product portfolio for European markets.
• Communication with both upstream (global analysts) and downstream (regional and country analysts in Western Europe) to secure timely delivery of the Tracker product.
• Maintain and master quantitative processing tool for 3rd platform services and innovation accelerators and provide suggestions for its continuous improvement.
• Provide quantitative support for quarterly clients‘ briefings in the form of data mining from existing services tracker and contract database.
• The main research focus will be on countries in Western Europe.

Additional responsibilities and activities will include involvement in tracking new upcoming technology firms and local heroes. That will include the following activities:

• Data gathering and completion of deliverable (tables and ppt deck) for comparative analysis.
• Data monitoring of local heroes as well as firms in perspective cutting edge technology areas.
• Activities will also include support for ad-hoc consulting projects that may arise in IT and cloud services areas.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Qualifications

• Advanced excel user and ability to manage large data sets
• English at least B2
• Communication skills to pro-actively interconnect with various stakeholders on the project
• University education (IT or Business/Economics)
• Expert knowledge of MS Office packages, ideally incl. Power BI
• Other visualization software techniques i.e. Tableau is a bonus
• Knowledge of macro-economic & business practices
